Used Tanning Bed Parts -
If you've
made the decision to commit to a used tanning bed, the wise
consumer would spend some time researching the availability of
parts and supplies for the aforementioned unit.
Just what types of parts reside inside you bed? You may be
surprised to know just what makes up your tanning bed. Here's a
quick checklist of some of the parts you may require:
· Acrylic Sheets
· Ballasts
· Buck boosters
· Capacitors
· Tanning Lamps
· Receptacles (L630)
· Shocks
· Sockets
· Electronic Starters
· Relays
· Connectors
· Timers
· Cooling Fans
· Hinges End Caps
When looking to
purchase a used tanning bed that ‘seems like a good deal’ be
sure that you know what parts are missing and what is
malfunctioning because you could end up spending hundreds in
repairs and be sacrificing your safety.
The biggest
ongoing cost of tanning of course is the tanning bulbs and
acrylic sheets. When buying your tanning bed, make sure that the
bulbs and acrylic sheets can be removed easily and check to see
what types of bulbs your tanning bed uses (either UV-A or UV-B).
Keep in mind
that tanning isn’t the most comfortable situation for your body
and in many instances you’ll feel extremely hot and sweaty. With
the help of a built in fan you can reduce the heat by half and
make it more enjoyable. If the fan ever goes on the frits you
won’t always need to replace it. Simply purchase a 10 dollar fan
from Wal-Mart and set it beside your bed (this of course, is for
lay down models) and it works just as well.
